FDC Enrolment Information

Bathurst Family Day Care is an Australian Government Approved Child Care Service. Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR) can be accessed by families to assist with the cost of care. The Scheme complies with the Commonwealth Governments Priority of Access Guidelines.

Enrolment forms must be completed for each child prior to commencing care, a copy can be downloaded, Family Day Care Enrolment Form or be collected from the Bathurst Family Day Care office at 34 William Street, Bathurst. To confirm your child's enrolment you will also need to submit the following documents:

  • Certified copies of the child/ren's Birth Certificate;
  • Child/ren's current Immunisation Statement from the Australian Childhood Register (ACIR);
  • Documentation regarding allergies, illness, special needs or requirements for special medical conditions, allergies, special needs or requirements;
  • Original Court Orders regarding custodial arrangements if applicable.

Selecting an Educator

The Service will attempt to match your care requirements with a suitable Educator, you will be provided with the contact information for Educators who may be able to assist you when enrolling with the service. You are encouraged to discuss your expectations, your child's individual interests, abilities and strengths with Educators to ensure you and your child are comfortable with the selected Educator.


It is recommended that you contact the Family Assistance Office on 136 150 prior to commencing care to be assessed for Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Rebate (CCR).

Family Day Care has a Deregulated Fee Structure which means Educators are able to set their own fees. Educators are self employed small business operators and therefore responsible for the management of their own fees and conditions. The child care arrangements between the Educator and family will be done in consultation with the Coordination Unit. Prior to commencing in care, arrangements are made between the family, Educator and Coordination Unit. A Confirmation of Care Agreement will be completed confirming the placement for the child and the hours required.

There is a non-refundable $30 enrolment application fee, payable prior to commencing in care.

Allowable Absences

Children are permitted to have 42 absences per financial year, to cover sick, occasional days and holidays. Medical certificate or other documentation will be required if a child exceeds 42 days.
